In celebration of International Women’s Month, JCI Zugbuana launched 4 projects during “March for Women Press Conference” last March 8,

First is the Cans for Hope Initiative, a donation drive which will run for 8 months for the beneficiaries such as Glory Reborn, Zugs Cancer Initiatives, and Zugbuana Cares. Second project is the Locks of Love, a hair donation drive for the benefit of Kythe Foundation, an organization that makes wigs for cancer patients. Third project is entitled EmpowHER Mabolo, a livelihood event in Barangay Mabolo which aims to upskill women. Lastly, JCI Zugbuana, in partnership with Global Star Motors Corporation | Mercedes Benz Cebu and Clothes for Life Organization, announced the Women for Women Fashion Show. This fashion show will showcase creations from renowned Cebuano designers such as Philip Tampus, Rei Escario, Ia Coca, and Abello Couture, in which their works will be worn by Cebuanas who have made a high impact in the society. The chosen beneficiaries are C.U.R.E. Foundation, a non- profit organization that rescues and shelters women and children who have been exploited and JCI Zugbuana Cares Projects which provide timely assistance to victims of calamity like fire, flood, earthquake.

All in all, the event was a huge success. Let us continue to work hand in hand in recognizing and empowering women during this special month.

Empowering Women, One Strut at a Time: JCI Zugbuana's Women for Women Fashion Show Makes a Bold Statement!

The Women for Women fashion show was a great success with tickets being sold out! It was an empowering event held in celebration of International Women's Month.

The partnership of various organizations such as Mercedes-Benz Cebu, Clothes for Life, and Jarra Jewels made the event possible for JCI Zugbuana to  provide support to Cure Foundation and JCI Zugbuana Cares and to make a positive impact in the community.

With the beautiful creations of talented designers Philipp Tampus, Rei Escario, Ia Coca, and Arnu Camay of Abello Couture, 16 empowered and inspiring women graced the runway representing all women from different fields and walks of life.

Thank you for celebrating with us and here’s to the strong women in our lives - our mothers, sisters, daughters, and friends

Last April 22, 2023, JCI Zugbuana was able to turnover Php 60,000 to CURE Foundation from the proceeds of the fashion show.

The turnover ceremony was held at Rancho ni Cristo, Asturias, Cebu. Let us also acknowledge the presence of the representatives from Mercedes Benz Cebu. We were able to tour the vicinity and also interact and played games with the children.
